Julien Schadegg

Julien moved to Laos from France in 1998. For five years he worked with his father in construction as an architect and general contractor. He started his graphic design profession when he received a contract from the Lao National Tourism Administration to produce their travel brochure. From this was born GB Lao Media, which now has eleven employees. Julien is married and has a child; his family lives in Vientiane.

Ravzat Ashurlaeva (Nicky)

From Dagestan (Russia) Nicky has been in Southeast Asia for 3 years. She studied service and tourism in university. After graduation she moved to Thailand where she worked in sales and marketing for a tourism company. She is married with one child and enjoys sewing and cooking in her free time. She has lived in Laos for one year and is now the marketing director for GB Lao Media.

Phillip LeBlanc

Phillip is a Canadian, who moved to Laos in August, 2006. His work history has been exciting and eclectic, including; rock drummer, yacht delivery, home construction, flight attendant and ESL teacher in S. Korea and Laos. Through it all, his dream has been to be a professional writer. He has a BA in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University, Canada. He joined GB Lao in December, 2008. Phillip is married to a Laotian; he and Kham Souk live near Vientiane.

Remy Rossi

Remy was born in Paris and lived there until his arrival in Laos in 2008. After having studied web design he worked in advertising, communication and development, before moving into web and graphic design with his own company. He is the graphic designer with GB Lao Media and the talent behind our visual presentation.

Fabrice Munio

Fabrice was born in Paris and grew up in the Ivory Coast till eight years of age. Returning to France to attend school, he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, completing his final year as an exchange student in Singapore. He worked in East Timor for a logistics company prior to moving to Laos in 2003. His engineering background led to jewelry design, followed by graphic design. Fabrice has worked with GB Lao since December 2008.

Somthip Boualaphone

Somthip was born in Luang Namtha Province in the north of Laos. After graduation from Lao National University, where he studied French, Somthip worked for Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, he then left to study in France. Upon his return to Laos he worked for an interior decoration and furniture company. He started with GB Lao in December, 2008, and works as the Marketing Manager.

Malisa Vannavong

Malisa is from Luang Prabang, a world heritage city 300km north of Vientiane. When Marisa has a few minutes to spare she enjoys reading and socializing with friends. She started with GB Lao in December, 2008, and works in sales & marketing.

Vongchanh Phantavong (Lisa)

Vongchanh was born in Vientiane. She has a background in restaurant management and cooking, and worked as the private chef for the U.S. Ambassador for 6 months. She started with GB Lao in December, 2008 and has the dual jobs of secretary as well as handling the daily accounting.

Michel Huteau

Michel arrived in Laos in 1989. He has been a professional photographer and reporter for over fifty years, and has worked in every corner of the globe. The past twenty years he has worked for the Lao National Tourism Administration photographing and writing about his heartfelt passion; the cultural habits and lifestyles of ethnic minorities. He has written a book “Les Combattants de la Spirale d’Or, and others on Laos, Myanmar, and China. He was awarded a UNESCO prize for his novel “Graines d’Homme”, a picture story about the children of the world.

Stanislas Fradelizi

Stan was born in Montmartre in Paris, an area beloved by and famous for its artisans. He always had a natural eye for composition, and came to his love of photography after having lived in New York City for three years. He has been a permanent resident in Laos since 2001 working as a professional photographer. Stan has been with GB Lao since December, 2008.
