SpotLight Asia

New Lao Airlines In-flight Magazine

Spotlight Asia CoverSpotLight Asia is the all new official in-flight magazine for Lao Airlines. It will have an initial print run of 100,000 copies, and will be printed quarterly. The small group of dedicated professionals who staff the magazine will ensure exemplary coverage of Laos in each edition through its regular features which include: Lao culture, business, wildlife, people, cooking, handicrafts, festivals, and a unique master subject. Also included as regular segments in each edition will be information on medical/health facilities, embassies, maps, restaurants, banks, travel agencies, hotels and guesthouses, to name a few.

Tourism is the fastest growing segment of the Lao economy, and a need to enlighten potential visitors as to the business, spiritual and cultural pleasures of this country has clearly presented itself. It is also the perfect vehicle to educate the world on our advertiser’s and sponsor’s products and services through our extensive distribution network.

Our Business Plan

November 2008:

We contacted Lao Airlines and inquired as to their interest in a new in-flight magazine. Their reaction was positive, and thus a team of professionals was hired to envision, and produce a new magazine. Named SpotLight Asia, our goal is, to produce the best quality, and most widely read magazine about Asia, in Asia. With our advertisers, sponsors, and Lao Airlines, we plan to achieve this goal through careful planning, and step by step systematic growth.

Our Target Market

The target market of SpotLight Asia Magazine will be Lao National and international business people, and upscale tourists who arrive/depart, or travel within Laos on Lao Airlines. Through our distribution network of hotels, embassies, businesses, and destination airports of Lao Airlines, we will also reach significant numbers of readers. We anticipate our readership to fall within the parameters of 30-55 years of age for business people, extending that to 65-70 years of age for tourists.
